TestPro® is a spreadsheet based program (designed to run on top of
Excel 97®). Test data collected in the field is entered into the
program, creating a data file that can be transmitted electronically to
any other location (typically the office of the producer). The data is
then viewed at the second location using a second copy of TestPro®.
Typically the graphs (created automatically) are of prime interest to
the producer. They provide a medium for clear concise communication
between tester and producer. Both parties are looking at the same clear
picture which creates a forum for a detailed discussion of events and a
clear plan of action. The most important aspect of the program is its
ease of use for both the tester and producer. Although TestPro® was
developed in (and runs on top of) Excel®, all of the unnecessary
features and options of Excel® have been disabled. All that remains is
a very straight forward interface that functions without even the need
for menus or toolbars (although these are provided for those who are
accustomed to them).
